Adventure Guides starts in October and continues throughout the school year. This is a family program designed for father/son, father/daughter, mother/son, or mother/daughter. In this YMCA program, it is understood that the parent serves as a guide in a child’s life. Parents lead, direct, supervise, influence, and teach while presenting opportunities for children to explore the world around them. (This program was formerly known as the Indian Guides.)

We believe that children should be in a safe, healthy, nurturing, and stimulating environment. We believe that each child is an individual and the child care setting needs to accommodate and plan for those differences. Our program provides children with the opportunity for a variety of experiences. Children learn to cooperate in a group and experience a variety of recreational, sport and creative activities. School age child care is held in several area elementary schools in our service area serving children in grades 1 thru 6.
