Our NEW INTERACTIVE YOUTH FITNESS & XRKADE center is a cutting edge “exergaming” environment that utilizes video games to promote exercise for people of all ages. This is the first center of its kind in western PA and the YMCA is extremely proud to be able to offer it in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh.
XRKADE is a brand new way of looking at exercise and combines the virtual reality of video games with good old fashion cardio workouts such as the popular Dance, Dance Revolution, Cycling, XR-Boarding, Power Boxing and the ever challenging 3 Kick. Putting together technology and an arcade-like atmosphere, XRKADE promotes a fun and social experience for all ages. Kids especially focus on playing the games and don't even realize that they’re exercising. The XRKade is available to rent, to members and non-members, for birthday parties and corporate team building events. Contact the Penn Hills YMCA, 412-795-2600 for more information.
The following events take place at the Penn Hills YMCA and are FREE to family members. Sign up at the Welcome Center for each month’s events. The whole family is welcome—the more, the better!
