ABOUT US
The Penn Hills Y was founded in 1952 by a group of local citizens concerned with the lack of recreational activities for the youth of Penn Township. In 1959 a small Program Center was built as the Penn Hills YMCA and served the community with an abundant of youth programs until 2005 when the NEW 25,000 square foot addition was built.
Today, the branch serves every age group from infants to senior citizens with quality programs and services that help build strong minds, bodies & spirits. The Y makes all of its programs & membership available to everyone, regardless of income through Building Bridges, our financial assistance program made possible by our Annual Campaign.

Y-TOT PRESCHOOL
The YMCA Y-Tot Preschool program incorporates the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and responsibility into the daily curriculum. This program is available September through May and is offered to children 2 to 5 years of age. All children must be members of the YMCA as Program Members or as part of your Family Facility Membership. A one-time $25 registration fee is charged per student for all program members per year. Tuition varies depending on number of days per week and the age of your child. To obtain a Y-Tot Preschool Application, call 412-795-2600 or request one at the Welcome Center. Full Facility Members do not pay a registration fee, all others need a Program Membership at $25 and a registration fee of $25.
BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE
The YMCA of Penn Hills offers Before School and After School Child Care for the 2012–2013 school year. Your child can be enrolled in either the A.M. or P.M. session or both. A limited number of openings will be available, so advanced registration is required. Tuition varies depending on number of days per week. A $30 nonrefundable registration fee per child must accompany your child’s registration form, which is available at the Welcome Center or by calling 412-795-2600. This year we have available care for 5th to 7th graders in the afternoon at the Penn Hills YMCA. All participants must have a facility or program membership.
